The American Character:
I like to begin my AP Government course with a discussion on what it means to be an American and how that definition may have changed over time. I'm happy that I have the time to do this over the course of several blocks for the first few weeks of class because our AP Government course is taught as a year-long class. But, honestly, there are so many other classes that can use this -- whether its ELA or Government or homeschooling. It's cool.
