In this Elective Course you will embark on a study of the American Civil Rights Movement. This is a fascinating time in the history of our country and our goal is to study the key events that advanced rights for African Americans and other people of color in this country and to also shed light on the unsung heroes of the movement. There are 28 distinct lessons in this Elective followed by a project. Throughout each lesson, you will be keeping a reflection in journal in which you will write your thoughts and ideas while also making connections to the present day. The Journal Page (linked below) will give you more instructions for how to complete your journal.
