Why I LOVE Gallery Walks:
I'm pretty sure that the first time I confronted the Gallery Walk as a classroom activity I was in Graduate School for Education at Brooklyn College. My professor made us participate in a Gallery Walk and to be honest, I was skeptical at first. Because I was getting my degree simultaneously to teaching, I got to try out many ideas on my students. I figured that I might as well try it. What I found shortly was that the Gallery Walk was not just an amazing way to introduce students to new material but it allowed students to interact with material (and each other) in a calmer approach.
